Brittany Waiss, ACC, SHRM-SCP, PHR, is a certified coach and human resources professional who has embraced being described as a “bonafide HR nerd.” A graduate of the University of Montana College of Business, she has a depth of varied HR experience in healthcare, nonprofits, the service industry, and for-profit businesses. In 2017, she joined KettleHouse Brewing Co. Doing so helped merge her passion for both beer and effective HR strategy as well as follow in the beer industry footsteps of her grandfather and father as a third-generation “beerman.” At KettleHouse, Brittany has led the charge to develop and optimize HR strategy to help support the company as it grows.
In addition, she offers leadership coaching and HR consulting through her company, Expedition Coaching & Consulting, LLC. She is an accredited Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is also a member of both the ICF and the High Country Chapter of the ICF. Her coaching education is in Communication, Emotional Intelligence, and Organizational Development.
Brittany is passionate about helping to elevate the HR profession and does so by staying involved at both the national and local levels. She currently serves as the Director of Communication for the Montana State SHRM Council and has previously served in multiple roles for the local chapter, Big Sky SHRM, including previously serving as President.
In addition to her afflictions for HR and coaching she has also been involved in Toastmasters and the Pink Boots Society, and has volunteered with both organizations.
When not practicing HR or talking beer, you can usually find her playing outside with her family either chasing fresh powder in the Winter or soaking up the sun in the Summer.
